Meals at our restaurant are delectable and the choice ranges from the Oriental to the Occidental, or you may indulge in our hot Sikkimese specialty with a tongba to go. We have a menu with a wide variety of Indian, Continental and Chinese dishes for the varied taste buds. We also serve fixed Indian meals.

Being an eco-friendly resort, we keep our own kitchen-garden

Sikkim:

It is the Hidden Land of Sacred Treasures and blessed by the great Tantric Master, Guru Padmasambhava, is a pristine land decreed to be a “beyul”, a place where the Saintly and the devout shall seek and find refuge during cataclysmic times. Most hilltops have a monastery and the flutter of prayer flags and the chant of monks in their daily ablutions reflect the deep singularity with which Buddhism has taken root in this ephemeral land.

Sikkim is one of the biodiversity hotspots in the world and boasts of a wide swathe of exotic flora and endangered fauna: 600 species of orchids and an equal number of bird and butterfly species and 36 species of rhododendron that burst with colour during spring.

Visit the colourful local market and mingle with the friendly village tribals or witness the fabulous masked“chhaams” or dances of the Pang Lhabsol held between August and September as a supplication to Mt. Khangchendzonga for protection.

Go on a trek, visit a mountain village or admire the wonderful views of the majestic range of the Himalaya, Sikkim has it all.

Places of Tourist Attraction in Sikkim:

Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake: Changu Lake means “source of the lake ” in Bhutia language. Just about 40 km away from Gangtok, the capital of the state, this serene lake is situated at an altitude of 12,000 ft on the Gangtok Nathu La highway. It falls in the restricted area and hence an inner line permit is required by Indians to visit this place. Foreign nationals are not permitted to visit this lake without special permission. The lake is about 1 km long, oval in shape, 15 meters deep and is considered sacred by the local people. It is also a home of brahminy ducks. It’s cool, placid water harmonizes with the scenic beauty around. A small temple of lord Siva is constructed on the lakeside. This placid lake remains frozen during the winter months up to mid-May.

Nathu La: It is a mountain pass in the Himalayas. It connects the Sikkim State with China’s Tibet region. The pass, at 4,310 m (14,140 ft) above mean sea level, forms a part of an offshoot of the ancient Silk Road. Nathu means “listening ears” and La means “pass” in Tibetan language. Nathu La is one of the three open trading border posts between China and India; the other two are Shipkila in Himachal Pradesh and Lipulekh (or Lipulech) in Uttarakhand. Between May and August it is possible to see a variety of flowers in blooms, including the rhododendrons, various species of primulas, blue and yellow poppies, irises etc. It is also an ideal habitat for the red panda and various species of birds.

Rumtek Monastery: It is also called the Dharmachakra Centre and is located in near Gangtok, Sikkim.

Hanuman Tok: It is a Hindu temple complex which is located in Gangtok, Sikkim. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is maintained by the Indian army. According to the local legends, when Lord Hanuman was flying with the “Sanjeevani” (mythological life saving herb) mountain to save Lord Ram’s brother Lakshman, he rested in the spot where the temple now lies.  The temple provides splendid views of the Mt. Kanchenjunga (Mt. Khangchendzonga).

Pelling: The best sightseeing point is from your hotel itself where you can get a beautiful view of Kanchenjunga peaks. Kanchenjunga is the 3rd highest in the world and highest peak in India. You can visit Rabdentse Ruins and Kanchenjunga waterfalls.

Kanchenjunga Waterfalls: It is located at a distance of 25 km from Pelling. You need to climb up little in steps to reach the foot of the water fall. This water fall is last but one point in your drive for local site seeing in Pelling. After this you will return to Y junction and go towards Khechopalri wiching Lake. Take care of your vehicle as there is no open parking space and stones may fall from heights.

Rabdentse Ruins: It is located at a distance of 3 km from Pelling. This place is well maintained and preserved by Archaeological survey of India. Superb views of the Khangchendzonga ranges can be witnessed.

Buddha Park: It is also known as Tathagata Tsal and is situated near Ravangla in South Sikkim. It was constructed in 2006-13 and features a 130-foot high statue of Lord Buddha as its centerpiece. The site was chosen within the larger religious complex of the Rabong Monastery, itself a centuries-old place of pilgrimage. The statue was consecrated on 25 March 2013 by the 14th Dalai Lama and has become a key stop on the ‘ Himalayan Buddhist Circuit’. The Cho Djo lake is located within the complex, surrounded by forest.

Yumthang Valley: It is a beautiful valley situated in North Sikkim. It sits at an elevation of 3,500 metres above sea-level, so naturally home to many beautiful Himalayan flowers. Yumthang Valley is extremely picturesque, with green slopes covered with trees, yaks grazing in the flower-spangled grassy plains below, and a river flowing right through the valley. It also happens to be situated at what is called “the tree-line”, the altitude above which there are no trees. This makes the Yumthang Valley unique in that it has trees and Rhododendrons, and yet abounds in tiny, low-growing Himalayan flowers. The Valley has an astounding, over 24 species of Rhododendrons which paint the Valley red in spring. In spring, the Valley looks like a collage of little forests of different colors. The flowering of Rhododendrons is over by May end. During monsoons, starting in June, the Valley blooms with all kinds of tiny Himalayan flowers, like the Primroses, Cinquefoils, Louseworts and Cobra-lilies. This is a much more enchanting scenario, but takes a keen viewer, with an eye for detail, to truly appreciate.

Zero Point: Zero point is the last outpost of civilization. Zero Point is situated at North Sikkim at 15748 ft. The road from Lachung passes through Yumthang and Yumesamdong to reach this Zero Point. The road ends here and thus the name. With the majestic mountains and ice around, its very serene and peaceful.
