Accommodation at Dwarka Goa: Ten beautiful, all natural, medieval thatched cottages, with contemporary interiors, are set around a fresh water lagoon with each overlooking the Arabian sea and the lagoon , and beneath the rustling of hundreds of palm trees, which are on different levels, on several acres of land. The rooms have 2 big windows to allow breeze to cross ventilate and to enable you to see the sea and the lagoon at the same time. All cottages have a Fan and a steel cupboard, where you can lock your personal belongings. The cottages also have wooden doors, which can be locked.

Lunch and dinner is served at our restaurant, built on a cliff edge, where you can hear the sound of fresh flowing water going into the ocean. Lunch and dinner includes chicken and fish besides lot of other dishes. You can then have the luxury of loosing yourself on the beach, bathing in the sun and in the sea or in the most overwhelming natural pool of crystal clear fresh water. There are hammocks in front of every room for you to just lay back and relax under the palm trees.

Watch the sun set, either from the beach or atop a hill. After dinner, sit around a comforting bon fire and join in a singsong if you feel like, or just lay back and watch the skies unfold to a galaxy of stars.

These cottages are built every year, as they have to be dismantled to the ground by the end of the season, due to the restrictions by the government as they are touching the beach and the lagoon. It takes close to 2 months to put up the entire resort and the season last for just 5-6 months. The cottages are speciously designed, where in the bedroom is 13 ft * 13 ft which is huge by any standard and has an attached bathroom / toilet which is 13 ft * 6 ft.

Places of Tourist Attraction Near Agonda Beach Goa:

Cabo De Rama Fort: This is one of the oldest forts in Goa, built before the arrival of the Portuguese. With the historic significance related with its name, Cabo De Rama has a mythological legend. Lord Rama accompanied by his wife Sita took refuge here during his exile from Ayodhya for 14 years. Inside the Cabo De Rama Fort, there is the church of Santo Antonio which is in excellent condition and is still used by devotees. The white church and the black fort provide a photographic picture of stark contrast.

People come here to pray and just enjoy the mystical atmosphere of the fort. Cliffs drop steeply to the sea provide a panoramic outlook of the surrounding areas, at the western side of the fortress. The fort provides majestic views of the entire length of Colva beach and the Canacona stretch.

Palolem beach: Palolem beach is a natural bay surrounded by lofty headlands on either sides, resulting in a calm, idyllic sea with a gently sloping bed which allows you to walk up to 100 m out from the beach.

The beach is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village itself. It is about 1.61 km long and is crescent-shaped – one can view the whole beach from either end. Both ends of the beach consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, it being shallowest at the northern ends of the beach, making it safe for average swimmers, and the currents are not fast.

Butterfly beach: It is a tiny beach cove that lies just to the north of Palolem beach. The sands here are perfectly white and the water translucent. There is no access to the beach by road since the area is heavily forested. One can take a 2 hour trek through the forest. No vehicles, not even bikes can make the trip through the forest since the road takes one through brooks, steep climbs, fields and forested areas.

Agonda beach: Agonda beach is a great spot for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming, with still relatively few tourists. Agonda is a nice long pristine stretch of beach. Though the waters here might not be the most ideal place for swimming (you have better beaches with calm waters in Goa), Agonda is definitely a place for those who want to quit on a Monday morning.
